"UPSC Mains Result 2023 Declared"


The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the results for the UPSC Mains Exam 2023 on December 8th. Candidates who have appeared for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2023 can now access and download their results directly from the official website at upsc.gov.in.


The UPSC Mains Exam 2023 was conducted from September 15 to September 24, 2023, across various examination centers throughout the country.


Candidates who have successfully cleared the Mains Exam will proceed to the next stage, which is the Personality Test (Interview) for potential selection into prestigious services like IAS, IFS, IPS, and other central services. The dates for the interview sessions will be communicated in due course. The official notification states, "On the basis of the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023 held by the Union Public Service Commission from 15th September 2023 to 24th September 2023, the candidates with the Roll Numbers and Names have qualified for the Personality Test (Interview) for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’)."


Here are the steps to download the UPSC Mains Result 2023:


Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC at https://upsc.gov.in/.

Step 2: Look for the UPSC Mains Result 2023 link. It may be prominently displayed on the homepage or located under the "Examinations" or "Written Results" section.

Step 3: Download the PDF file. Once you click on the link, a new PDF file will open containing the results. Download and save this file for your reference.

Step 4: Find your roll number. Use the search function within the PDF document to locate your roll number and check your qualification status.

Candidates who have qualified for the interview stage are advised to prepare the original certificates supporting their eligibility and reservation claims, such as age, educational qualifications, community, economically weaker section, Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), and other necessary documents. These documents will be required during the Personality Test (Interview).


According to the notification, "The marks sheets of all the candidates will be uploaded on the Commission’s Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result [after conducting Personality Tests (Interview)] and will remain available on the Website for a period of 30 days."
